Jana Niven joined NHPC in March of 2012. Her role is to provide engaging, educational opportunities, including NHPC's Annual National Conferences. She is looking forward to supporting and expanding NHPC's existing educational initiatives.
Over the years, Jana has educated herself on the benefits of a variety of natural health modalities to keep herself and her son, who has faced some health challenges, feeling well. In her spare time, Jana enjoys spending time with her son and continuing her work as an artist.

Jamal holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Ecology from the University of Alberta, which teaches students to use a holistic systems approach to examine the many contexts of people’s lives. Because of this, she has always been attracted to approaching health and wellness holistically.
Her husband is an allopathic doctor, so she is able to see both sides of the issue and has a great appreciation for the complementary effects of natural health practices in the allopathic setting.
In her spare time, Jamal volunteers for community outreach programs by facilitating outdoor classes for children and preteens.
