Your involvement with the Natural Health Practitioners (NHPC) can shape natural healthcare in Canada. The AGM is a place for NHPC members to set this course by voicing their opinion and voting on NHPC initiatives.
At the AGM, members will be provided with updates on the following:
The NHPC AGM is open to all NHPC members.
TMJ Mastery is a 3-day workshop focusing on principles and applications that explore intra-oral techniques used to treat masticatory dysfunction. Included is a comprehensive visual study of the continuum of Articular Disc derangement, and the techniques that may restore function or alter further degeneration.
We will be incorporating myofascial techniques affecting the masticatory musculature, and explore strategies to assess and restore asymmetrical condylar movement. The intra-oral techniques will also include joint mobilizations that attempt to de-compress and re-establish articular disc space.
Mastery: a process in which focus is given to a specific subject in order to cultivate ongoing expertise. Ironically, the process is often humbling in that each revelation leads to many more inquiries!
This is intended as an advanced workshop for massage therapists. Therefore, some assumptions will be made regarding your familiarity of the anatomy, physiology, and mechanical function of the head, neck and face. The workshop is not meant as a defi nitive, fully evidenced-based research project, but more of a working set of ideas and principles that might bring new possibilities into a massage therapists' repertoire.
Information about the course can be found at www.tmjmastery.com.
NHPC members who attend both the AGM and Workshop may be able to collect up to 75% of their NHPC Continued Competency Credits.

After two years in the making, the workshop TMJ Mastery was launched in 2005 to meet the demand of this niche modality.
He lives and works in London, Ontario at the clinic Wholistic Body Works and receives TMJD clientele from wordof- mouth client sources, dentists, chiropractors, PTs, speech therapists and music/vocal coaches.

I only wish to attend the AGM. How do I register for that?
