Unwind the Belly with Chi Nei Tsang: The Fundamentals Pts 1 & 2
Chi Nei Tsang (chee-nayt-song) is oriental visceral bodywork. Learn how to skilfully relax and invigorate the body's core, without fear. CNT powerfully combines breath repatterning, applied qigong, and gentle traditional touch techniques. Classes are rejuvenating. Qigong practice, visceral anatomy, & Five Element Theory punctuate clear technique demos, with plenty of hands-on lab time. Each student receives an invaluable illustrated workbook.
In The Fundamentals Pt 1 we learn the skills necessary to do a basic abdominal bodywork session. We open the channels of elimination – the Metal organs - the lungs and large intestine. We ground with Earth Qigong & build our life force with Bone Breathing. Pt 1 gives you the tools to help clients with constipation & IBS, and assist their emotional digestion.
In The Fundamentals Pt 2 we become more assured with the CNT techniques and our visceral geography. We detoxify & balance the Earth and Wood organs - the stomach & spleen, liver & gall bladder - and discover how to transform the sick energy we may inadvertently take on. Pt 2 skills help your clients overcome headaches, indigestion, and heartburn.
Instructor: Peter TS Melnychuk, LMT, Certified CNT Instructor (CNT Institute, CA) & Visceral Manipulation Certified Teaching Assistant (Barral Institute, FL). His full time practice in visceral bodywork began in 2000. He has taught CNT throughout Western Canada since 2004.
