+1 # Milt 2010-11-22 08:52 I am interested in why certain modalities are not recognized by NHCP. How do you decide whether a given modality is legitimate or not? Does the modality need to be requested by a certain number of your members? Do you require the modality be in existence for a given amount of time? Reply | Reply with quote | Quote

+1 # Laura Finley 2010-11-22 15:08 Hello Milt. Thank you for your e-mail. In order for modalities to be recognized and insured by our insurance provider, they most go through a rigorous assessment that includes research into the history of hte modality, efficacy of treatment, training protocol, regulated standards (if applicable), trademarks (if applicable) and risk of harm. We have waiting list of modalities for future consideration by the association. If you have a specific modality you'd like to be assessed for future consideration, please contact me directly.

-1 # Krista Daly 2010-12-03 12:43 Not to be off Topic, but there are a number of us whom have registered for the Cafe Connections and none of us can get on. We are living in Alberta and it said 7:00. We all live very busy lives and I know that I am very disappointed that this is happening. Please look into why this event did not happen and I am very disappointed in this. Maybe you can help me.. I am looking to find all the possible insurers through Sask, and MB..as i am crossing borders..so i can send out my CCP to them,so my clients don't have issues. As well i would like to know if i qualify for the MTCAP?
