Not all insurance companies require competency equivalency recognition. NHPC does not have a list of which insurance companies require competency equivalency.

An ‘Active Members List’ that includes all members is regularly sent to all NHPC insurance industry contacts. Insurance companies requiring additional verification on member-specific credentials can contact our office to obtain confirmation on competency equivalency recognition.

Compliance with the CCP is a mandatory condition of membership with the NHPC. You must be compliant with the CCP in order to maintain your membership with the NHPC.

MTCAP does not affect your membership status with the NHPC. It is a program designed to provide Massage Therapy members with the opportunity to be recognized by the insurance industry as having competency equivalency recognition.
