NHPC recognizes over 60 modalities in the natural health care field. Visit Schools & Modalities on this website for a complete listing of NHPC recognized modalities.

Your modality may not be listed because:

1. currently the NHPC cannot support some modalities
2. modalities may be in the approval process
3. modalities may have not yet had a request for recognition by the NHPC

If the modalities you have completed training in are recognized by the NHPC, you can include those modalities in your membership application. For modalities in which you are a student, the NHPC will not recognize you as a practitioner in those areas. When you have completed your studies, if the Association recognizes your program, please send us a copy of your certificate and we will update your files and notify the insurance provider.

Yes. You need to use the Associate application form. Ensure you include a copy of current course enrollment. Please note that there are specific limitations on your membership and insurance coverage as a student. As a student, you are only covered in a program-supervised clinical/practicum setting as designated by your school or training institution.
