Worldwide there are approximately 20 million migraine attacks every day. Participants will discuss the pathology of migraines, causes and self-care techniques. Shiatsu techniques for both acute and preventive care can be easily integrated with other modalities to provide clients with a treatment that can alleviate their pain and diminish the frequency of their migraines.

Cancellation Policy
A cancellation fee of $50.00 will apply to any cancelled workshop registrations. All workshop registration cancellations must be submitted in writing to Erica Jones at ejones@nhpcanada.org. Please note: cancellations postmarked 2 weeks prior to workshop dates and 'no shows' are not eligible for refund or credit.

Instructor

Passion for the natural healing professions led Leisa to volunteer with the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada. She served on the NHPC Board of Directors from 2004-2008, serving as President from 2007-2008. She has also been a volunteer at Toronto’s Ronald McDonald House since 2001 where she offers short Shiatsu treatments to the families who stay at the house. This has provided her with valuable clinical experience in working with severely stressed individuals and children coping with life-threatening illnesses.

Leisa is part of the integrative team at the Artists' Health Centre at Toronto Western Hospital and has done workshops and presentations for various audiences including the Alzheimer's Society of Ontario, Alzheimer's Disease International Conference and Toronto's Ronald McDonald House.
