Newly established branch Of the School of Osteopathy Madrid (EOM Escuela de Osteopatia Madrid) The Canadian Institute of Osteopathic Therapy is only recently established in Canada, but the program it is offering has been established for over 25 years in over 40 countries. This is the first time this course will be offered in North America.
The tutors of this program have vast experience and eminent qualifications taught in English the “Online Academy” provides students with a detailed and extensive library of instructional material. Material that is an incredibly useful tool to assist with, not substitute for, the hands on personal and expert instruction provided. With such a science as Osteopathy there can be no effective alternative to personal instruction.
CIOT offers a 5 year science based course in Osteopathy leading to the award of a Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Therapy.
This course is identical to that produced throughout the rest of the world by EOM, so interchange between the many branches is possible. Many Students take advantage of this, particularly for their Clinical studies.
After the successful conclusion of the course students will be invited to submit a thesis to EOM and once published will be awarded a Diploma in Osteopathy from EOM in addition to the Diploma in Manual Osteopathy granted by CIOT.
CIOT aims to prepare students for their future as osteopathic therapists through the developing their skills and aiding them in the acquisition of knowledge, both theoretical and practical, together with providing close contact with other fellow professionals.
