Description

This webinar is designed to support massage therapists and bodyworkers in understanding what constitutes a great seated massage or chair massage. 
 
There are many applications for seated massage, including at the workplace, markets, festivals, and fetes. Seated or Chair Massage is an easy way to introduce therapeutic touch to new people without the additional stress of removing clothing or time restrictions. 

During this webinar, attendees will be introduced to the origins of seated massage and learn current workplace research about the effectiveness of seated massage. We will also look at some of the basics, including what to think about and what you will need for your day delivering a great chair massage.

 

About the Presenter

Director of Rhythm Massage Development, Michelle Vassallo, completed her Diploma of Remedial Massage at Victoria University, graduating as valedictorian of her year. She currently lectures at Victoria University in a variety of remedial subjects, specializing in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD).

Michelle also delivers seminars as a guest lecturer and workshop presenter for various national massage associations in Australia and Canada. With many years of practice in her own clinic, Michelle has refined her MLD technique, making it both user-friendly for the therapist and effective for clients.

NHPC Webinars are presented through Zoom webinar software, which lets you participate in this NHPC webinar, from your own home, office, or wherever you choose to connect. 

Please complete the TWO-PART registration process:

Step 1: Reserve a spot by registering through the NHPC website in advance (using the "Register for the Event" button above).
Step 2: One week prior to the event, you will receive an email with information on how to register directly with Zoom. Do this at least 24 hours prior to the webinar time.   

If you do not complete both step 1 and 2 of registration, you will not be able to participate in the online webinar.

Please Note: After the second part of the registration, you will receive a confirmation email containing information and a link to join the webinar.
