IN DEPTH: Lymphatic Massage Foundations

Lymphatic work is one of the most helpful massage methods, yet it is the least understood area of massage therapy. This course was created for therapists who want clarity, structure, and confidence when working with the lymphatic system without stepping outside of the massage therapy scope of practice.
Lymphatic Massage Foundations is part of Breakthrough Massage Academy's "IN DEPTH" course series. It is a thorough, evidence-informed course that breaks down the lymphatic system in a way that is practical, clinically relevant, and immediately usable in massage practice. Students will learn how lymphatic massage works, but when and why and for whom it is appropriate. Just as importantly, students will learn when referral to a Certified Lymphedema Therapist is required.
Throughout the day, we'll discuss real-world case examples commonly seen in massage clinics, explore safe treatment boundaries, and build a clear framework for clinical decision-making. This course also provides insight into Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) training pathways available in Canada, making it an excellent foundational step for therapists considering future specialization.

This live Zoom course blends lecture, visual learning, and guided hands-on practice so you leave with both understanding and skill. All students will get free access to the Lymphatic Massage Foundations Self Study course to reflect back on what we learn, hand placements, and resources as needed ($185 value).
