Anyone who has a hands-on practice and experiences extreme fatigue at the end of a work day, will find self-care strategies, that are an essential part of the Therapeutic Touch (TT) process, and self-care TT, valuable tools to support their own health and well-being.
Contemporary research demonstrates that Therapeutic Touch (TT) can promote relaxation, reduce anxiety and pain, and promote healing in self and others. TT is a gentle, holistic approach that supports the body's own natural healing resources. Using one's hands, variations in the human energy field are recognized and balance in the field is supported. Basic assumptions underlying the practice of TT, supporting theoretical frameworks, the TT process, and research are addressed. Through interaction, demonstration, practice and dialogue you learning beginning skills in the proces of TT. This course supports the development of foundational skills for offering TT to self, family, and friends.
