the rmtPRO Facial Massage course was written specifically to adhere to the RMT scope of practice within Canada. Our first lecture is always scope of practice in which we learn about the differences between and esthetician's "facial" and a professional RMT Facial Massage. I this 3 day, packed out class learn the assessment of the soft tissue and joints of the face, neck, and upper chest. Apply therapeutic (YES! This includes Buccal Technique!) massage thechniques for the treatment and prevention of physical dysfunction of the soft tissues and joints. Learn appropriate contraindications and techniques for post surgical scar tussue, nerve impingement, lymphatic drainage, and how to navigate clients who have had fillers, neuromodulators, implants, and other cosmetic procedures. Develop, maintain, rehabilitate, or augment the fuction of the tissues and relieve pain in these areas. Master the techniques you need to meet your clients goals for treatment through proper assessment and tayloring your new knowledge to create treatment unique to your own practice situation. Understand the biochemistry of appropriate massage mediums for facial massage, how to adapt any RMT room for facial massage treatment, and how to ethically grow a solid stream of retail income if you so choose.
