Remedial Stone Massage: Clinical Applications for Modern Practice

July 31 – August 1, 2026
Lethbridge, Alberta

Many therapists have learned stone massage through a predetermined routine. This course takes a different approach.

Remedial Stone Massage applies stone therapy in a therapeutic, outcome-focused manner. Rather than memorizing a sequence, you’ll learn how to adapt stone techniques to client goals, tissue presentation, and treatment outcomes while developing clinical reasoning skills that can be integrated into the treatments you already provide.

Throughout this immersive two-day workshop, you’ll explore hot, warm, and cool stone applications using both water-heated and waterless systems. Students will work with a variety of stone types while learning how stones can become an extension of their hands to enhance treatment effectiveness and reduce therapist strain.

This is a highly practical course. While theory is incorporated throughout the weekend, participants should expect to spend the majority of class actively practicing techniques, applying concepts, and receiving feedback.

To support individualized learning, class size is intentionally limited to 6 participants. This allows for extensive hands-on practice, small-group learning, and one-on-one guidance from the instructor.

Additional topics include:

  • Clinical applications of temperature-based stone therapy
  • Stone selection and treatment adaptation
  • Documentation and charting considerations when using stone tools
  • Integration into therapeutic, rehabilitation, wellness, and relaxation-based treatments

Registration includes:

  • Comprehensive Remedial Stone Massage workbook
  • Digital video resources for continued learning
  • Linens and laundering provided
  • Optional stone kit available for purchase

As an added bonus, enrolled students receive access to select course preparation videos before class begins, allowing more time for hands-on learning during the workshop.
