Aromatherapy for Therapists – Live Course is for the massage therapist looking for practical experience in using essential oils for their clients. This course guides students to use essential oils for specific conditions. Teacher, Jeannine Millan is a Registered Massage Therapist, Registered Aromatherapist, and Usui Reiki Master has used and taught about the benefits of essential oils since 2000.

This class covers the basic history of essential oils and their benefits as well as cautions. We’ll cover 12 essential oils, including which oils are safe for pregnancy. Also included are carrier oils, blending ratios and a list of common conditions we see every day as therapists, and you will learn how to use essential oils effectively for these conditions.

We will start the day covering the theory on essential oils, history, benefits, cautions, CI’s, Blending, and much more. I will demo how to use the blends in specific areas like Head Ache, Active Blend for sore muscles, Birch Blend for bone and joint issues, Relaxation will be discussed.  Then after lunch you will each do a treatment using the oils for the 4 conditions first then give a full body massage picking the oils of your choice or blends in exchange with another student. We will practice live on how to blend and you will use your kit to make a few blends of choice and I will supply a carrier oil and bottles for you to blend into.

CEU’s or Educational Credits. Please note the NHPC National Healthcare Practitioners of Canada has deemed this class worth 5 credits.  You will receive your certificate at the end of the class.
