FASCIAL DECOMPRESSION WORKSHOP

In this two day, in-class (14 hour) workshop, students will improve their  palpation skills in feeling fascial restrictions to gently decompress those  restrictions. Students will also acquire knowledge about the nervous system and  its connection to connective tissue and its influence on patient health. The  students will gain confidence on how to treat specific injuries and postural  imbalances in a way that utilizes less pressure as well as develop skills to help  patients with fascial health concerns. In essence, this course will empower  students to become better at decompressing fascial restrictions via theory and  practical technique applications. The techniques taught are gentle in their  application for both the patient and the therapist; and is fantastic for both  structural therapists and those who wish to practice a softer therapeutic  approach.

This workshop is designed for massage therapists and other practitioners with  hands-on rehabilitative certifications or degrees. A basic understanding of  anatomy and physiology is essential in order to expand myofascial release  knowledge and tactile ability.

About the Instructor: Denny Paccagnan, RMT has 28 000 hours of hands-on  clinical hours and has been teaching this workshop since 2010. He has worked  alongside numerous chiropractors, specialized physiotherapists and  acupuncturists.
