Being remedial (the intention to restore health, and therapeutic in nature) is a side effect of stone massage, no matter the temperature or style it’s used. In Remedial Stone Massage we’ll learn how to utilize hot and cold stones to fit within your current therapeutic and deep tissue massage routines in order to amplify results for your clients.
The class runs for 2 days with discussion of theory and practical skills. Students can also choose an online learning option via Zoom to learn from the comfort of their home or office.
By the end of the class you will:
- Learn the various types of stones (basalt, marble, and jade) in order to make informed decisions about which stone can be chosen for particular client outcomes and how to apply the technique we’ll learn to each stone type.
- Learn how thermotherapy affects soft tissue and circulatory, nervous, and lymphatic systems
- Teach you technique safety and proper body mechanics
- Equip you with important client case history questions and form additions to best understand a client’s current health condition so that safe and appropriate temperatures are used (or should be avoided).
- Cover a wide range of stone techniques and how to use the different shapes depending on the intended treatment outcome
- Complement your current therapeutic, deep tissue, or sports massage routine with remedial stone massage
- Answer client FAQ questions, price, and market your new stone massage skills
- Keep your learning up to date and ongoing with technique videos you can watch over and over
- Protect your body, joints, and preserve your own energy so you have more focus and vibrancy in your client approach.
