Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and skilled Massage Therapist to join our Fort Saskatchewan rehabilitation team. The successful candidate will assume an existing caseload from a veteran massage therapist. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of anatomy, sports and general population presentations, massage techniques and tools, and an outstanding commitment to providing exceptional client care.

All treatment is to take place in a private treatment space with an electric adjustable treatment table. Responsibilities
- Build rapport with community, teammates, and clients.
- Assess clients' needs and recommend appropriate treatment plans based on their health history and preferences.
- Employ a variety of massage techniques to suit client needs
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly sanitized.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their concerns and provide guidance on post-treatment care. Keen understanding of contraindications to treatment, and ability to communicate this effectively to the client.
- Keep accurate records of client treatments, informed consent, preferences, and any relevant medical history.
- Stay current with professional association and massage therapy techniques and practices.
- Provide excellent client care, ensuring clients feel welcomed and valued during their visits.
- Build relationships with clients and community to become a long term care provider.
- Eagerness to promote massage therapy in the community.
- Keen learner who has an avid interest in growing their professional skill set.
- Registration with a recognized massage association, and a 2200 massage therapy diploma.
Experience
- Experience and preference for providing therapeutic and deep-tissue massage therapy.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining a consistent caseload over an extended period.
- Excellent English language skills
- Additional certifications such as cupping therapy and lymphatic drainage would be welcome.
