Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) gives participants the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to recognize changes in mental health, respond supportively, and apply practical actions for declining mental health and crisis situations.
\r\nIt also helps participants build confidence, reduce stigma, and enhance their own mental health.
\r\nThis one-day MHFA Essentials Certificate prepares wellness professionals to support clients or co-workers who may be experiencing a decline in their mental health. Self-care is also an essential component of this training.
\r\n\r\nRebecca Hung is trained to practice and teach yoga, meditation, mindfulness, reiki, reflexology, and somatics. She has a passion for holistic wellness and has lived a mental health experience.
\r\nRebecca has a diploma in Holistic Health and an honors degree in Applied Human Services Administration. She is also a Certified Wellness Professional with the National Wellness Institute, a certified Psychological Health and Safety Advisor, and Mental Health First Aid independent facilitator for Opening Minds.
\r\nAlongside her facilitation work, Rebecca works with different groups and projects to implement and administer wellness initiatives and build capacity for cultures of wellness in communities.
