Frequently Asked Questions

What is your Cancellation Policy?

All cancellations requests must be submitted to the NHPC in writing or by email by April 17, 2026. Cancellations submitted by this deadline will be entitled to an 80% refund.

Cancellations received after April 17, 2026, or "no shows" (registrants who do not attend the event) will not be eligible for a refund/credit or reimbursed in any way.

The NHPC will process all refunds after the event. Refunds will be returned to the original payment method. Cancellations for registrations that have been paid for by cheque will be refunded by cheque. Please note that cheques can take up to four weeks to process.

Should the event be cancelled due to natural disasters or other causes beyond the NHPC's control, the NHPC will make every effort to reschedule. Any registration payments will automatically be applied to the rescheduled event. If you choose not to attend the rescheduled event, the NHPC will provide a full refund upon your written request.

Can I attend the gala without attending the entire conference?

Yes. Please select the separate Gala Dinner option and purchase the number of gala tickets you would like.

What meals are included at this event?

In-person attendees receive the following complimentary meals:

  • morning refreshments (Thursday, Friday, Saturday)
  • lunch (Thursday, Friday, Saturday)
  • afternoon refreshments (Friday and Saturday)

For other meals, there are restaurants at the hotel and nearby.

Gala dinner tickets are NOT included with conference registration. Please purchase them separately if you wish to attend the gala.

Can I change my Sessions/Workshops BEFORE the conference?

Absolutely. Once a conference pass has been purchased, log back into your NHPC account, go to My Events and add or remove sessions from your pass. You cannot change your conference pass selection this way.

We cannot guarantee spots for the workshop of your choice when changing registration. Due to high demand of our workshops, we strongly encourage you to register early to secure your spot in the workshops you want.

Can I change workshops ON THE DAY of the conference?

Due to high demand of our workshops, we strongly encourage you to consider your workshop selection carefully when registering.

If you need to change to a workshop on the day of the conference, you will be charged a change fee of $100. and there is no guarantee of available spots in the workshop of your choice.

Can I change my pass type?

Yes. Please contact the Education and Events department. We cannot guarantee available spots for the workshops of your choice when you change your pass.

What is the final day that I can register for this conference?

Online registration will close on May 17th, 2026. If you wish to register for this event after May 17, 2026, please do so at the conference on-site registration desk at the DoubleTree by Hilton West Edmonton from June 4 to 6, 2026.

Do I have to pay to complete my registration?

Yes, online payment must be processed before your conference registration is complete.   

Can I attend the free Thursday activities without purchasing a pass?

Please register for the Free Oasis Experience Thursday Pass to attend only the Thursday activities. This allows us to properly cater for those who will be in attendance.

What sessions are available through the Virtual Silver Pass?

The Virtual Silver Pass includes select sessions from our Saturday workshops. As sessions are added, they will be marked as in-person or hybrid so you know which are offered virtually. 

If I have a virtual pass, how do I access the virtual workshops?

This conference will be held virtually through the Zoom online platform.

One week before the conference, a confirmation link for each workshop session will be sent by Zoom to the email address you registered with. Please check your junk folder if you do not see the email in your inbox.

If you select the "add to your calendar" option in the invite, it will update the event to your own time zone.

We strongly recommend that you connect using a laptop or desktop computer to access the full functionality of the virtual platform for each workshop.
